Little Ladybirds Day Nursery was delighted to host the Stockton Borough Council Early Years Outstanding Forum recently.
The Forum is made up of early years providers in Stockton-on-Tees who come together regularly to share ideas and discuss best practice.
We were asked to host the Forum following our recent ‘outstanding’ report from Ofsted.
Around 30 people representing nurseries in the district came into the nursery for the evening. In preparation for the event, the nursery was set up to show how it looks during the day when the children are present. This gave our visitors the chance to see how we approach early years care at Little Ladybirds.
Our Manager, Jennifer Thompson, gave a presentation on how Little Ladybirds prepared for its Ofsted inspection and what it takes to achieve outstanding status.
Jennifer said: “We were pleased to host the Outstanding Forum. Visitors were very impressed with Little Ladybirds and asked lots of questions on our approach to the Ofsted inspection.
“We were able to share our experience of becoming an outstanding nursery and this covered areas such as staff training, empowerment, resources, and much more.”best practice, Early Years, little ladybirds day nursery stockton, ofsted, Outstanding Forum, Stockton Borough Council
