A wild amount of money was raised by children and staff at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery following a hair-raising day.
We held a wild hair day for our latest fundraising event in aid of our charity of the year – local children’s hospice Zoë’s Place.
Children and staff tried to outdo each other to see who was the cut above when it came to having the craziest locks and the results were ‘hair-larious’.
Little Ladybirds Day Nursery Manager Jen Thomas said: “We held an autumn fayre for our first fundraiser for Zoe’s Place, so this time we wanted to do something different and which involved more of the children.
“A wild hair day seemed a fun thing to do and it was fantastic to see so many staff and children taking part.
“We asked for a small donation and raised over £700, bringing our total raised so far for Zoe’s Place to well over £1,000, which is fantastic.”
Zoë’s Place is an independent registered Children’s Charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to 5 years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
