Tweenies began February by getting all their ducks in a row – 5 little ducks in fact!

They enjoyed singing along to the popular song in their regular Signing Tots sessions with Dawn. They also had lots of fun playing with their yellow ducks and exploring rice and counting words in the five little ducks themed tuff tray.

A hair-raising day

A wild amount of money was raised by children and staff at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery following a hair-raising day.

We held a wild hair day for our latest fundraising event in aid of our charity of the year – local children’s hospice Zoë’s Place.

Children and staff tried to outdo each other to see who was the cut above when it came to having the craziest locks and the results were ‘hair-larious’.

Ready to learn

After an exciting Christmas, our children came back fully energised and ready to learn (and play of course) in January.

This term, in Pre-School, the children are exploring the topic of dinosaurs-we asked each child to bring in one fact about a dinosaur of their choice, so we can add this to our fact wall.

While they were out in the garden, some of the children noticed how much our herb garden has grown, so we spoke about the different things we could use herbs for. One child suggested using it in Playdough, so we did exactly that.
