Run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I am The Gingerbread Man.
We are taking this popular children’s fairytale to teach our children about different parts of the world.
This ‘top-secret’ project (the children do not know what we are planning so don’t tell) involves one Gingerbread man, which our pre-school children have been making in the nursery, going missing.
Our plan is to then get parents, their friends or other family members to send us a postcard from abroad with the words spoken by The Gingerbread Man when he is being chased.
We will then show the children the postcards and talk about the place where the postcard was sent from.
We think this will be lots of fun for the children, whilst at the same time teaching them about different countries/cities around the world.learning, little ladybirds day nursery, The Gingerbread Man
