The most wonderful time of the year

It really was the most wonderful time of the year at Little Ladybirds in December.

Eric the Elf was very busy decorating the nursery. The children were not sure about the Christmas tree being wrapped in toilet roll, but they did enjoy the shoe train he left for them!

Eric even accompanied the pre-school children to The Arc in Stockton where they watched The Man Who Wanted To Be A Penguin. Everyone was very well behaved, and they really enjoyed the show.

Eric also hid some treats in the garden, but the children first had to use the clue to think of what they could be and then had to search the garden to find where our cheeky elf had hidden them. When they came in from the garden, because it was cold, Eric had arranged to have warm milk ready for everyone.

One of the highlights of the month was our Christmas performance. The children did so well, and parents, grandparents and other family members were thoroughly entertained.

We played a great Christmas game which involved using a baton to knock candy canes from a piece of string. After all that fun and excitement, the children were very hungry, so they all sat down to a lovely Christmas dinner cooked by Polly.

Christmas may now be a distant memory, but January has started with a bang so look out for our next activity round-up.
